Yes, it really is a “magic kingdom”

Christmas night, around ten, my husband, daughters, sons-in-law, and grandjoys loaded up in a 32′ RV and began the long drive to Orlando, Florida, for a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Although the RV was a little crowded, as the picture indicates (lol), it gave us an opportunity to cooperate, discover moments of humor, and bond. If it hadn’t been for the icy roads and strong winds that made the journey a bit perilous as we crossed Oklahoma and Arkansas, I wouldn’t have minded our driving time at all. There’s something to be said for togetherness! And of course, the view when we reached our destination made the close quarters and slow progress all worthwhile.
Look at that! Cinderella’s castle aglow in purple! Do you think they knew I was coming? LOL And that wasn’t the only purple. The very first morning, we arrived in time to watch a marching parade–high school students from Ohio. Please notice the purple plumes! Oh yeah, I knew I’d come to the right place. :o)

Ever since I was a little girl, I’ve loved the Disney characters Mickey, Minnie, Donald, and Goofy. Over the years, we’ve added new favorites to our list: Winnie-the-Pooh, Ariel, Peter Pan, Aladdin, and Woody. I met a lot of them during our time in Orlando!

You might have noticed none of the photos with characters include the Wugmump. There is a reason for that. They scared her. However, she enjoyed everything else… And doesn’t she rock those mouse ears?

My oldest daughter commented that the seemingly spontaneous parades gave the entire park a celebratory feel. We thoroughly enjoyed parades during both daylight and nighttime hours.

I will carry many precious memories from our time at DisneyWorld. I’m especially grateful I had the chance to experience it with those who are so dear to me.

I wish moments of magic for you in this new year!

God bless you muchly as you journey with Him ~ Kim
