I’m sure many of you are still thinking about last week’s shooting in South Carolina. I know I am. It’s so hard to understand the “why” of these kinds of tragedies. But I can also say I’ve been deeply touched by the community’s response to the shooting. No rioting. No looting. No marches of protest. Instead, they’ve chosen to forgive, and they’ve gathered to pray. These people learned what it means to suffer for the gospel. They chose to stand firm and exhibit their faith, and they’ve shown the nation what it means to rely on the power of God. Please continue to pray for those affected by the senseless act of hatred, and also pray for each of us to stand firm, to share the testimony of the difference the Lord makes in our lives. This nation NEEDS our Savior.
