Today’s post might trample a few toes. It’s okay–I’m trampling my own toes! The Ten Commandments outline some very clear off-limits things for God’s children, but different people see different accountabilities in the other instructions. We have to rely on our conscience and not rely on the world’s standard as our measuring stick. It should be simple: If what I’m doing is lawful but not edifying either for me or for a weaker brother looking on, then I need to pluck it out of my life. My main responsibility as a Christian is to reflect Christ. If my attitude, behavior, or activity fails in that responsibility, it has no place in my life.
