We live in a “what’s in it for me?” world. Selfishness is rampant. But selfishness has no place in a Christian’s life. When we focus too much on self–on seeking worldly accolades or satisfying the flesh–we lose sight of what Jesus directed us to do: Love your neighbor as yourself. Others see Jesus in us when we practice the recipe for JOY: Jesus first, Yourself last, and Others in between.
