Whenever I see an abandoned church, my imagination kicks into gear. Who attended there? How many people were baptized? How many babies slept in their mother’s arms during the sermon and how many cried? Did a little boy crawl under the benches and embarrass his parents? Did the preacher truly teach from God’s word? How many souls were saved? It is amazing what can happen in a congregation when God’s believers come together, break bread together, worship and praise God together, and show harmony. Outsiders looking on would hunger for what the people within the walls of the church have and would seek to gain it for themselves. I pray for the Bible-teaching churches to stay strong against the enemy’s attacks and continually grow in number. I don’t want anyone I know to be left behind when the Lord comes again.
