Recently I went to the Bookaholic book sale in Wichita. I grabbed 3 of your books because from the pictures on the covers they appeared to take place in the 1800 1900s. Buddy, my husband, saw them when I got home and blurted out, “Those are written by Kim.” I looked at him strangely and he reminded me he knew you from church. I did not realize you wrote books.

Well, I could not put the books down and when I finished went to the Wichita library. I was so happy to find several more of your books which I have read and today am going back to get more.

I love books telling of the past, the good old days, and especially those with a Christian theme.

Buddy says hi to you and your husband and is happy you are doing well. I am off to visit my daughter soon in Jacksonville who knows your daughters from school. She is about to have a baby girl and her husband, son and I will be there with Jessie to welcome the little baby into this world. Between she and my son we will have 4 beautiful grandchildren. I see you have nine!

By the way, I read A Heart Surrenders taking place on Mountain Lake, Minn. My sister and her husband lived there for awhile. She will be reading your books also.

Kim, I heard an interview with you on our Christian radio station (WMPC Lapeer MI), and you talked about your new book "Bringing Maggie Home". I got a copy immediately and was not disappointed. Loved the interaction between Grandma, Daughter and Granddaughter, and that Grandma was a committed Christian and what it meant to the younger generations. Great story that brought glory to God and to His Son Jesus Christ.

The last part of the book kept me up until 3:30 AM because I had to see how it all turned out !

I just finished reading "Bringing Maggie Home". That was such a moving story and seeing all 3 (grandmother, daughter, granddaughter) come together and heal their relationship. It was so great when they found Maggie and were able to bring the whole family together, just in time to help the grandmother regain her consciousness and see her sister again!
All your books are wonderful and I have read most of them. You are one of my favorite authors!

I have thoroughly enjoyed the 2 books I have read so far. They were more about a person's relationship with the Lord than with a person. Which is the most important relationship we can ever develop. Thank you for writing so cleanly, and purely, with Christ at the center. Please keep it up! Be strong in the Lord and in the power of his might!

Last year I found your book "my heart remembers" and while it was quite a tearful story, it was such a blessing.

My children were kidnapped over 11 years ago, and all I've been able to do is give them into God's hands and wait upon Him, knowing that they are in His care and that He has a plan.

Your story was inspiring and gave hope.

Thankyou.

Yesterday someone gave me a copy of 'Song of my heart" and I realized as I read it _ I'm about halfway through - that these two are connected!

What a blessing. I intend to hunt down more of your writings and simply say now - may God bless you as you continue on in His work.

Hello Kim, I recently discovered your books, (thanks to our local public library). I have just retired from teaching kindergarten for 30+ years, the last 15 years God had me teaching in a underprivileged school. I have been struggling with feelings of guilt and sadness, thinking perhaps I have stepped out of Gods will with retiring. I just finished reading your book, In Every Heartbeat, and was greatly touched and moved when Libby said that she had been trying to make God fit her idea of what He should be but then she discovered that God knew best . My heart desire is to honor our Savior in whatever He has for me and now it is to help care for my grandchildren and trust Him with everything else.
Thank you for using your writing to glorify God and proclaim His love, Your books have encouraged me greatly and I look forward to reading all I can find.. Thank you too for the reminder that I am in His every heartbeat!!! I will be praying for you and your ministry!! thanks again!

Hello Kim:

I have enjoyed your books for many years. I too now am a mother of three grown girls and a grandmother! I have been working on a story myself with the Lord's lead, that reflects the method of "The Joy of Drawing from Real Life and Pictures", teaching children and adults to draw and use watercolor/watercolor pencils for over 21 years now! I have a wonderful method that helps them to observe the beauty of creation all around them and copy what they see on paper. The story of Janey, who goes to the beach in North Carolina and fills her new skechbook at 10 years, she fills the pages up with wonderful scenes--and when her sketchbook is lost, she finds out what it means to really be "famous". The story needed pictures for me to illustrate from and I took one of my students, 9 years old at the time, Grace Baity and her mother to the Kitty Hawk North Carolina, stayed in a Victorian Style beach house and for a week took pictures of her on the beach. Literally, God brought the pelicans, dolphins, whales, and fisherman, not to mention extras for the book that made the story come alive in pictures. Now after three years, and writers workshops, children's book illlusrators inputs, and critiques, I feel I have a different story than what I started with---so now a picture book and a chapter book...I wish you lived next door, as I am seeking to obey the Lord and send this to a publisher...I covet your prayers, as all the people I met, authors, illustrators, and wonderful people of the outer banks are awaiting my book---thank you for being an inspiration... I am just starting, and I am so glad you are here, in Kansas, to give me an example of how God leads you. I just bought your book " Grace and the Preacher" in Dillons grochery store. It was the last one on the shelf. I take breaks between my crazy life to just read and be inspired. Thank you for just being there. Have you heard of Sleeping Bear Press, in Ann Arbour Michigan? This is aparetnly, the slice of life stories they publish, seems right for my book---I am still editing word choices, and punctuation, but am continuing to keep going til it is done.. God bless you and thank you again. Love in Jesus, Holly Friesen

I received your first book at my Bible study. It was a book to share. Fell in love with your stories.
Our library doesn't have all your books but enough to keep me reading. Thank you so much for your hard work and the message in each story. The stories are amazing.

Just finished my second book while on a Summer break enjoyed Grace and the Preacher and love Room For Hope. It actually brought tears to my eyes. I prayed that I too can grow to have such a forgiving heart as Neva demonstrated. Looking forward to reading more of your collections.
Thank you!!
