The last four houses in which I’ve lived had one thing in common–crocus bulbs planted by the previous owner. My first spring in each place brought a delightful surprise when those little purple heads poked their way through a covering of snow as if to announce “Spring is coming!” No matter how long the winter, the cheerful flowers let me know brighter, warmer, kinder days waited ahead. God is like that, too–whatever hardship we face, we can hold tight to the hope that brighter, warmer, kinder days await. We might find them on this side of Heaven; we might find them as we cross Heaven’s threshold. But stand firm because they ARE coming! God is faithful, and He restores.
