Chances are none of us have little brass or gold idols to which we bow down and worship, but there are other means of “idolatry” in our lives. Anything that comes before God or interferes with our relationship with Him can be considered an idol. It’s a good idea for the Christian to take stock now and then and see if activities or the pursuit of belongings is becoming so important we neglect our time with our Father. If so, flee! HE is our greatest satisfaction, so keep Him “front and center.”
