Last year I kept a “blessings jar” and recorded something for which I was grateful each day of the year. It was so fun to take those slips of paper from the jar on New Year’s day and read them. Some were simple things, like spotting a particularly beautiful cloud, and others held deeper meaning, such as witnessing two grandsons’ and my oldest granddaughter’s baptisms. But taking the time to look back at the day and find reasons for gratitude helped me see just how active God is in this world and specifically in my life. I praise Him for the wonderful things He has done for me, both little and big, and I anticipate another year of serving the One who loves me so. For what can you praise God today?
