A lot of people have a hard time separating sinners from the sin. Instead of attacking the problem, they attack the person. This is opposite of what God instructs us to do. We are to sincerely love others the way Christ loved us. Christ didn’t wait for people to become perfect and then love them; He loved them where they were—dirty and lost and shameful. But He loved them too much to leave them in that state. When we cling to what is good (God), we are given the ability to love bigger and better. When we love sinners, they are drawn to us and to our Savior. Sin is ugly and separates people from God, so it’s to be hated. But Christ loved so much, He died for sinners. We are called to follow His example.
