There are a lot of people who use the term “Christian” loosely. They call themselves a Christian because they live in America, or because Grandpa was a preacher, or because Mom and Dad took them to church. But “Christian” isn’t a title. It’s a lifestyle. If we truly are Christians, it should show in the way we speak, the way we treat others, the very way we live. Darkness (i.e., the way of the world) has no place in a true Christian’s life. Every now and then it’s good to examine oneself and ask God to reveal any darkness that needs to be eradicated. Those of us who call Him Father don’t have room in our hearts for elements of darkness.
