I realize Easter is past, but I’m still contemplating a few things, and I decided to share my thoughts with you. Mary Magdelene (and some other women) visited the tomb to finish preparing Jesus’ body for burial, but they were startled to find the tomb empty. So they told the disciples. At once, Peter and John went running. John even ran ahead, but when he reached the grave, he didn’t go in. He was so eager to see for himself, yet when the chance to experience up-close and first-hand the emptiness of the tomb, he only looked instead of entering. What held him back? Fear? Uncertainty? Insecurity? How many times have I allowed those human emotions to keep from fully “diving in”? Lord, let me be brave and brazen in seeking and following You.
