“…as he promised.” Those are such incredible, powerful words. When God makes a promise, He keeps it. He promised Israel they could expect a Savior. He paved the way for Christ’s birth, and when the time was ripe, He sent His very own precious, perfect, sinless Son into this world. Not a king in royal garb, not a soldier armed for battle, but a Baby, a child that would grow and laugh and love and experience hardship and temptations and hurt feelings like any other human.
