The women who went to prepare Jesus’s body for burial were deep in mourning as they trudged to that tomb. But their mourning transitioned to unspeakable joy because, as they walked away from the empty tomb, they met Jesus face to face on the road. That’s what Mom did on November 2, 2018—she leaped from sorrow and pain into eternal joy when she met Jesus face to face. And someday, I will see Him, too. Oh, what a marvelous day that will be.
