A day well-used

This past weekend I received the unwelcome news that a fellow Christian author passed away very suddenly. This scripture immediately came to mind. None of us know how many days we will spend on this earth, but the wise person makes the most of each day. She doesn’t squander her hours engaging in foolish activities that cause heartache or aggravation for others. As a day comes to a close, it’s wise to look back on the previous hours and ask ourselves if we used the day well. If we chose foolish behavior, then we can seek forgiveness and ask God to guide us tomorrow into a fresh start and better choices. Let us gain a heart of wisdom that is beneficial for our own soul and all those souls we encounter.
